Renewable energy program
Hydroelectric power plant- Himachal Pradesh State
PARBATI river
THE CONTEXT
India is the 6th global country in term of energy consumption. With its fast growig economy, the need becomes higher and higher.
Today, more than 50% of Indian energy is produced from coal, wich represents a threat for Indian energy autonomy, but also for the environment and the local populations.
Indeed, these power plants generate greenhouse gaz and increase pollution and breath diseases dramatically.
This program is an alternative to the electricity production from coal: an environment friendly energy source, using the river flow to generate electricity.
